Airgun articles on the web
by Tom Gaylord
If you don't subscribe to Shotgun News, you have missed out on a LOT of airgun articles. I have had a monthly column there since October of 2004, plus I've been writing feature articles for them since 2001.
Well, you don't have to miss out any longer. Pyramyd Air is now sponsoring all my columns on the Shotgun News website, so you can read them on your computer.
I hear from a lot of old Airgun Letter subscribers how they sure miss my articles. Well, folks, I'm writing about four times as much today as I did back then, but it's not going into a single publication. In fact, I feel guilty for neglecting this blog so much, but my other paying gigs have me going all the time! And I get to write as much as I want about almost whatever I want for Shotgun News. The column is monthly and only has room for 1600 words and 6 pics, but my articles are often 5,000 plus words and 20 pics! That's what I'm talkin' about!
Enjoy the articles and drop me a line if there are any requests for future articles.
Tom

Hello Tom. Thanks to the Kermit Airgun Club, I just found out you have a blog. I plan to visit often. Thanks for writing!
Hey Tom,
I too found you through the Kermit site. I just read your article "A Half-Century of Streakin' on the Shotgun News website.
I still have the Silver Streak I got for Christmas in 1974. Back in the day, I killed a lot of rats with that gun :)
My Silver Streak continues to be a family favorite. It's become my wife's "go-to" gun. When we lived in an older house back East, she dispatched mice that found their way into our basement. The Streak is how I introduced her to airguns and the shooting sports.

I don't know any other way to get in touch with you. I was lookiing for pictures of wooden airgun stocks that were made to accomadate a 3.5 oz paintball bottle. I know it has been done but can't find any pictures or anyone that can do it.
thanks
Hi Tom: Glad I found your blog-re: Umarex, the "new RWS". They are going to make a lot of people mad at them-I spoke to "Glen" at Umarex today and they are discontinuing parts sales (again!). Repairs only- who wants to send them a gun to put on a missing front sight? They can keep their guns. Hal
Hal,
That's funny because they have posted on the Yellow Forum that they ARE selling parts to people, just not to dealers.
